English Language Medical Services at Insan

Now you’ve got a recipe for a fun afternoon. The Ulsan Wine Club is always a great event to meet people and enjoy some fine wines.  Insan Hospital hosted this month’s Wine Club event with a “wine and swine party” at Cima Bar this past Saturday that proved educational as well as fun.  Insan brought a feast in order help broadcast their message to foreigners here in Ulsan.

Insan is making a push to correct what has been a problem for foreigners: Medical care that we can understand and feel comfortable with. If you’ve ever had the occasion to visit one of Korea’s hospitals here in the city then you’ll know how this goes. Unless your Korean skills are better than good you’d better bring a translator when you visit. To rectify that, Insan is now offering services at the hospital and say they have English speaking staff that will help you understand the care, medicines, procedures, etc.

The hospital staff passed out some useful cards that can be used to give to a taxi driver to take you directly to Insan hospital. The card also has a map of where the hospital is (It’s near the Jung-bu Police station and behind Jung-gu Health Center). The card also has a list of what buses (UlsanOnline’s bus search engine will supply you with plenty of routes by looking for “Byeongyeong”) can take you to Insan If you didn’t attend the wine and swine party, you can still pick one up around town. They’ve promised to have the cards at all the typical haunts one would find a foreigner.
