COVID-19 Vaccine Reservations in Ulsan

As many of you know, the vaccine reservation system has started up this week but there has been some confusion over how to choose the right day to make sure that you get your vaccine on time. Here is a collection of all the information that I have found regarding this issue.

Choose your Date Wisely

As stated in the pic, registration begins on Aug. 9th to the 18th. The day in which you register is the last digit of your birthday. Not the year or the month. For example if you were born Oct. 31st 1986, your birthdate is registered as 86-10-31 on your ARC card. That means that the last digit of your birthday is 1 and there for you have to register for your vaccine on the 11th.

Once you get to your appropriate date, you must register and book your appointment. The procedure is indicated in the picture above but people are having some issues finding the right place to get the vaccine. Fortunately, both naver and kakao have new functions to show you were all of the vaccine centers are and also how many vaccines they have available.

In KakaoMaps, if you tap the button with the little syringe it will give you a list of all of the available clinics in the area. You can then use that to find the clinic on the government’s vaccine website.

Important Apps

It is also advisable to download the Korean Governments COOV app to store your vaccination details. This app also works with the PASS app that can show not only the QR code for registering at most stores and restaurants but also it can show on the QR code whether or not you have been vaccinated and those details will become more important as more places will require proof that you have been vaccinated. Trust me when I say that in a few months, you will have to prove that you have been vaccinated in order to get into places. Apps like these are the easiest ways to do so and are a hint of things to come.
