Caffe Bene

Caffe Bene just opened this week in the Ok-dong area. It is located right next to the GS Mart on the Munsuro Road coming from the Samsandong area to Munsu Stadium. I walk or use a taxi almost everywhere, I’ve only used the bus once. So if you are walking from Geomeuptop rotary it’s about a ten minute walk. It’s on the right side of the road and at the second foot bridge. There’s a Baskin Robbins across the street.

They offer bagels, gelato, smoothies, tea and coffee. The place is a great place to relax with a book and a hot drink. You can bring your laptop and hook up to their wireless Internet, or just use the computer they have available for customers. Adding to the great atmosphere is the non-Korean music.

On our first trip, the first of many, my husband and I enjoyed yogurt smoothies and a scoop of chocolate gelato. Both were great for a total of 12,000 won (plus the friendly employees treated us with a free cute mug with our purchase, don’t expect this though because I didn’t see them give anyone else one). The prices are average compared to other similar cafes, but the atmosphere makes it worth it.
