Some store may be closed but most will be open as this is a major holiday to take kids out and buy them stuff. So for most places it will be business as usual. Parks and movie theatres will be especially busy.
Join us in celebrating our 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! When we started back in 2008, our aim was to run just ONE tournament professionally and successfully. Little did we realise that it would last so long and become such a feature of the expatriate soccer calendar in Korea. We thank all of the teams, individuals and companies that have been involved with the Cup over the years. Without your help, input, advice, sweat and tears we wouldn’t be here today!
So without further ado, welcome again to the Ulsan Cup, to be run over the long weekend in May on the 5th & 6th May 2017.
As ever, we are looking for 16 expatriate teams to compete in the largest and oldest tournament for expatriate soccer on the Korean Peninsula. The weekend will see 16 expatriate teams battle through a total of 46 matches to see one team crowned the best expatriate team in Korea.
The tournament is played out over two days. The first day is a group stage (4 groups of 4 teams). Each team plays each other once. The top two teams in each group (8 teams) will go into the Cup Knockout Stage and the bottom two teams in each group (8 teams) go into the Plate Knockout Stage. The knockout stages are played on the 2nd day of the tournament.
Additionally, there is also a wooden spoon tournament for those teams that are knocked out of either the Cup or the Plate. We offer your team an unprecedented amount of football over one weekend, against some of the best expatriate teams on the peninsula.
