비보호 Traffic Lights Explained
Posted by Ulsan Online on Mar 12, 2015 in | Comments Off on 비보호 Traffic Lights Explained
What is the legal use of a traffic light that is labelled “비보호”? Am I allowed to go though the light or turn when it is red if there is no traffic? Or am I only allowed to go through only on green and turn left only on green when there is no opposing traffic?
Left-turn sign labelled “비보호(unprotected)” means you can take left-turn taking care of the opposing traffic only if the traffic light is green. Making an “unprotected left turn” on red is not allowed. If you make an unprotected left turn without a green light, you can be punished with a traffic signal violation.
