About 20 people were injured at the Hyundai Motors factory in Ulsan this week when temporary workers staged a strike. This is the first strike for Hyundai in almost 2 years – a rarity for a company that experienced annual outbursts of worker demands.
The row began over the use of temporary workers – Hyundai employs over Five Million of them – who wanted more job security and workers’ rights.
